ABOUT THE S.P.C.A. OF POLK COUNTY

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP???

MISSION STATEMENT:

The S.P.C.A. of Polk County, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, dedicated to working with the community and with other animal rescue organizations to educate the community regarding responsible pet care, reunite lost animals with their owners, provide humane care while seeking loving, compatible, forever homes for animals in our temporary custody, and provide humane euthanasia if it is determined that an animal’s behavior or medical issues leave no other options.

The S.P.C.A. of Polk County does not euthanize animals simply to
make space for new animals.
Since our animals stay with us until they find a new home, we are
frequently unable to accept new animals until one of our current
residents has been adopted.

We ask for your understanding and consideration when we are unable
to accept the stray animal that has been dumped in your yard
or that you have rescued from the side of the road.
All of our volunteers sincerely understand your frustration at the lack of
acceptable options for these animals.

The SPCA of Polk County is operated entirely by volunteers who donate
their time and personal resources.
We receive no funding from any governmental agencies or
National Humane or SPCA organizations.
We depend entirely upon donations from individuals and businesses to support
our programs, pay for veterinary care, etc.

Your understanding and support is greatly appreciated!

DID YOU KNOW....
We operate strictly on donations from our supporters.  We are not funded by other SPCA organizations nor do we receive federal funding assistance.  Can you make a contribution today?

If you would like, you may make a donation straight to our account at First National Bank Livingston located at 2121 Hwy 190 West in Livingston close to the corner of Hwy 190 and 350 S.  Just tell the representative you would like to make a deposit for SPCA of Polk County.  We appreciate your support!
