Gypsy when SPCA gained custody:

Gypsy Now!!

I just wanted to let everyone know how Gypsy is doing. We adopted her back in June when she and several other horses were seized due to neglect. She is great and is due to foal in November. We ride her every weekend and she has become an exceptional horse.
Thanks.

Chester when SPCA gained custody. On Aug. 2nd 2008, I adopted Chester the horse from the Polk County SPCA of Livingston. Chester now! Chester is around the age of twelve years old and has turned out to be a wonderful horse , he has a good attitude and we are working well together , thanks to the SPCA for the hard work put into caring for these animals. Update on Chester: Chester has recovered from his surgery and is doing well, you might have seen us in the Livingston Christmas parade, Chester has become a fine horse and I would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Robinson and his staff for the great job they did with Chester, Dr. Robinson and his staff went out of there way to take care of chester and I can’t thank him enough . I would also like to thank everyone that donated to BRYAN STUTEVILLE Jan 27, 2009
I think the smile on this little boy's face says it all!
************************************************** Bronwyn has been a real joy to have around. She was curious but not overly nervous on her first night with us, and she’s been a good sleeper and has had a good appetite since she’s been here. She and I take two walks every day (a short walk before work, and a longer stroll around the neighborhood in the evening) and my wife has also taken her for a mid-day walk when the weather is cooler. We’ve had supervised free roaming in the backyard and house, also. She’s done well on the leash, and we’re also working on basic commands together. As you know, she’s also quite a lover, and we’ve all spent a lot of time on her level happily cuddling and petting her and playing with her toys. She’s already gone on several short car rides with us (to Sonic and Petsmart mostly), and get’s complimented wherever she goes.

Penny:
I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know how Baby Girl’s (or Bronwyn, as we’ve called her) first few weeks with us have gone. Bronwyn had a busy first day when we came back from Livingston, and we made a quick trip to our local vet clinic that same day to get her rabies shot and Dronsit wormer taken care of. We’ve also got her on Revolution treatment. After talking to the vet, we decided to wait a few weeks for Bronwyn to settle in here and recover from being a mommy a little more before spaying her; she’s scheduled to bespayed tomorrow, and we’ll send the paperwork about her shots and the spay certificate to you as soon as we’ve got it completed tomorrow.
Bronwyn has proven to be quite a charmer, and all of us have absolutely fallen in love with her. She’s adjusting well to our house situation, and she and our other dog are in the early stages of being introduced to each other. We keep both dogs on leashes when we’ve got them together, and they’re both relaxed when we’re with them together in our living room. Bronwyn has a great temperament and is unphased by Charlie (the other dog), but Charlie is a little more nervous by nature, so we’re introducing them slowly so he can feel confident of his place in the house before we go any further. In a few more weeks they should be capable of interacting even more.
Thanks to you and the other
We’ve attached a few photos so that you can see Bronwyn’s new home and her happy face again.
Thanks again for rescuing her,
David and Shari Bacon
