Hear how happy our furbabies are in their new homes:

Riley is the cute little guy at the top of the picture.  He was found as a stray and in pretty sad shape when he arrived at the SPCA.  But he didn't let those hard times affect his loving personality.  Now he has a wonderful loving family and a new playmate!

These two guys have become best buds!

Dakota in her new home!

Dakota was tied up
and left at the SPCA office while the office was closed.  Luckily
one of our volunteers went by the office and found her.  All Dakota wanted was someone to love her and care for her. Now she has her
own "forever" home with a loving family.

Peanut is the worst dog ever....but...she is a total blast and we love her already...She has made friends with everybody except the alpha male...he is holding out until she slows down a little...she is into everything and torments everybody...we have two rescued TOM cats, that have attitudes of their own...she made the mistake of trying to corner both of them in the bedroom...needless to say she came out with a bloody nose...i think that lesson has been learned the hard way.  She screams and runs if they just look at her now...Having a few issues with house training, but, she is slowly getting it...only a couple of accidents at night.  We love her and are absolutely loving watching her explore and enjoy the openness....she goes outside and just runs and runs and chases the others...
We really appreciate her!

Mark , Mike , and Sadie ( who is not too thrilled ) , would like to announce the adoption of a new little girl  " Bootsey " . She was rescued from the SPCA on Jan. 23, and is approx. six weeks old . She is another Boston Terrier as is Sadie. Baptism into the family and faith was held this morning at the water bowl. " Bootsie is registered at ( Bed , Bath , Bones & Balls ).

Burt was left at the SPCA when he was a tiny kitten. One of his eyes kept swelling and getting infected. The vet told us that he had probably been injured as a baby and the only cure was to remove his eye.  Since he was already blind in that eye, we did what was best for him.  Burt lived in a crate all of his life until this wonderful family adopted him.

This is a picture we thought we would never see, Burt having the opportunity to play outside!

Just wanted to give you an update on Burt.  We've been keeping him in our laundry room at night and outside (once it warms up a bit) in his crate.  He has decided that he really likes to be out of his crate when we play with him in the laundry room...lol!  Tomorrow I'll be letting him out of the crate outside for a little while with my supervision.  We'll stay out longer each day until finally we set him up completely in the barn.  Our dogs have been very curious about Burt and we've let them in to view him while he's in his crate...Burt tends to either hang in his hammock or turns his back to them...ha ha!  Our mini schnauzer seems to be protective of Burt...when one of the larger dogs barks or growls, Mr. Whiskerdoodles turns around and puts himself between Burt's crate and the other dogs!  Every time he sees Burt, his little nubbin' of a tail is wagging so fast it looks like it might fly off!  Here are a few pictures that I've taken.  Thank you so much for letting us adopt Burt!!

Sincerely,
Caroline

Samone was a senior dog who needed a loving home.   A wonderful family adopted him and will give him the TLC he needs and craves for the rest of his life.

Winston (formerly known as Werner) is the beautiful Weimeraner on the right. A truck pulled into a local neighborhood, pushed him out of the back of the truck, and drove off. Once the volunteers at the SPCA saw this beautiful dog, we had to give him a second chance.  His personality was as beautiful as his smile but we found out that Winston was heartworm positive. Several people came together and donated the funds for his treatment.  This is Winston now with his new best friend.  I think the smiles on these faces says it all. Winston is a happy dog living the life he truly deserves with his new "forever" family.

Ying and Yang were left at the SPCA when we were closed. It took us at least 3 weeks to earn their trust enough to catch them.  This is the email we received from their new family.

We adopted Ying and Yang last Saturday and I wanted to update you on their progress. Both girls were sleeping on my bed with me and just woke me up wrestling with each other (imagine that!). They are two wild and crazy girls who love to chase balls, jump in and out of boxes, try to get the lid off the treat jar and surprise attack each other around every corner. They have been a joy so far and we are constantly entertained.

We cannot imagine a person who would abandon these precious babies on a busy highway.  Thank goodness your organization was there to rescue them. Please notify us of any fundraisers in the future so we can help out if possible.

Again thanks for all of you and the SPCA's work.

Randy, Martha, Ying & Yang

This is Cruiser (on the left).  We adopted him in July.  As you can see, he gets along great with our older lab mix.  He is so sweet and cuddly - he actually spoons in bed with us at night at night.  He is very patient with our girls, even when they dress him up.  Too cute!  He has brought us such joy, and we are so happy to have him our lives - and laps.

Thanks so very much,
Cheryl, Ryan, Jillian and Maddie

Brutus was dumped in a local neighborhood and rescued by a caring person.  His personality was awesome and everyone who met him fell in love with him.  But when we took him to the vet, we learned the hearbreaking news that this awesome dog was heartworm positive.  The person who rescued him and the SPCA couldn't give up on this wonderful dog.  We obtained donations to pay for his heartworm treatment and he came through it like a champ.  Brutus now has a wonderful new family with children to play with and a home full of love.

I think the smile on this little boy's face says it all!
